BELLEAU WOOD | BRICKFILM (a short World War I film)

This is a short military Brickfilm I made about the Battle of Belleau Wood. The Battle of Belleau Wood occurred during World War I in France. The battle was fought between the United States Marine Corps and the German military.

While the film would have been more fulfilling with a story based around the battle, the action is, nonetheless, still entertaining.

The animation definitely shows creativity. The brick-built muzzle flares and the changing of the gun magazines, in particular, are quite clever.

One aspect of the film that is distracting, however, is the audio. The explosion and gun sounds are a bit too harsh and end abruptly in some instances. These sounds can be more equalized by adding some sort of constant audio track. For example, the sound of the wind blowing or the sounds of a distant battle cries.
